The Kentucky State Fair is Aug. 15-25. Cloverville is a village-like area located in AgLand in the South Wing for the Kentucky Exposition Center. Cloverville gives young people from all 120 counties an opportunity to showcase their best work to the entire state. The fair is the culminating event for 4-H’ers who have put countless hours of research and preparation into their projects.

During the year, 4-H’ers master a specific skill to complete their project and develop valuable life skills like perseverance and responsibility in the process.

Some walk away from the state fair with ribbons and prizes, but all 4-H’ers who have a project displayed at the state fair already are winners, having won local and regional competitions to advance to this point. All should feel a great sense of accomplishment in their work, regardless of the results of the state competition.

In addition to the projects, Cloverville is home to live showcases and hands-on contests that allow 4-H members to display their natural talents and abilities and to entertain fairgoers. Different events occur each day. To see the Cloverville schedule,
