With deep roots in their communities, small firms and their employees are the engine driving our local economy. The Kentucky Small Business Development Center provides local businesses and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to start, grow and succeed.

With help from the KSBDC, entrepreneurs realize the dream of business ownership and existing small businesses learn ways to remain competitive in a complex, ever-changing global marketplace.

The KSBDC is a statewide network with offices located throughout the commonwealth. Funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the KSBDC’s home is in the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

Small business development centers provide vital knowledge, education and expertise for small businesses and they customize their coaching services to address each business’ unique needs. Whether it’s financing, marketing, training or networking, these centers help clients overcome challenges, discover new opportunities and unlock potential so businesses can soar to new heights.

KSBDC business coaches provide aspiring and current small-business owners a variety of no-cost business coaching and low-cost training services including business plan development, financial packaging and lending assistance, market research help and guidance.
